Gentlemen, sometimes you discover something new and revolutionary, only to find out that you’re the last person on the planet to hear about it. Everyone else except yourself knows and wonder in amazement and some pity that you were unaware of it.
Here is a classic example; I’m sure to be revealing my ignorance but have you discovered the joy of ratchet trouser belts? The invention gives me so much pleasure that I couldn’t wait to tell my older sons about it…who both raised their eyebrows in that superior all knowing and equally ‘the poor old sod is losing it’ sort of expression. I digress. Ratchet trouser belts work like a cable tie, you tighten the belt through a series of clicks able to stop whenever comfortable. Unlike a cable tie however, you’ll be pleased to know that a simple pull on the buckle releases the belt. What magic, what genius, no more struggling to find the right hole that is either too tight or too loose , ratchet belts fit perfectly whether in the morning or after a fine meal in the evening, just pull a few clicks, or release a few clicks . Such joy .
